1986-2022 Silver Eagles NGC MS70 Signed by David Ryder the Only two-time Director of the United States Mint
This is an exceptionally rare opportunity to acquire a complete 38 Coin set of American Silver Eagle coins certified in perfect MS70 condition. This set has one coin issued from each year since 1986. The set includes the first two coins issued with the new Type 2 design by Emily S. Damstra.
To enhance the presentation each coin is presented in an NGC solid black core holder. To heighten the already phenomenal rarity, each coin (38) has been individually hand-signed by David Ryder, the only person in history to be a two-time Director of the United States Mint. (These are genuine hand signatures).
American Silver Eagles are the most popular and widely collected silver coins in the world. In the early years of their production the mintages were typically only 3,4,5,6 and 7 million coins per year, a far cry from the now common 20, 30 or even 40 million coins per year, making a complete set in the highest numismatic grade of MS70 almost impossible to complete.
David J. Ryder, the only two-time director of the United States Mint was named one of Coin World’s Most Influential People (1960-2020), Ryder brought many exciting modern coins to the marketplace as the 34th and 39th director, greatly enhancing the tradition of US numismatics with his leadership. He served as United States Mint Director from 1992 to 1993 and again from 2018 to 2021.
Ryder was instrumental in the new designs for the iconic Silver and Gold Eagles, which coincided with the celebration of the coins’ 35th anniversary. He was also actively involved in implementing the 1921 Silver Dollar Anniversary Act, which authorized the mintage of 2021 Morgan and Peace Dollars for their centennial anniversary.
