Description

The American Palladium Eagle series debuted in 2017 and has been issued each year by the United States Mint in a different version, starting with a Brilliant Uncirculated coin in 2017. This coin was followed in 2018 with a Proof strike coin and 2019 with a Reverse Proof coin. The fourth release in this series is a burnished coin with a High Relief finish. The high-quality high-relief strike gives this coin outstanding eye appeal. Only 10,000 coins were authorized. We showcase this low mintage coin in perfect MS70 condition by NGC. This coin also comes with the First Day of Issue, FDI designation, and is a Signature Series coin displaying a genuine Kenneth Bressett signature.

Design

The design for the $25 Palladium Eagle is based on the historic Winged Liberty image by Adolph A. Weinman that featured on the US Dime from 1916 to 1945.

Condition

Coins are graded on the Sheldon numeric grading scale of 1 to 70. To achieve the top grade 70, a coin must have no post-production imperfections at 5x magnification. Burnished coins are made using a special process and are hand-loaded into the coining press and struck on specially burnished blanks, (Sandblasted) yet have a soft, matte-like finish appearance. High relief coins have a three-dimensional appearance with their images raising up from the surface of the coin. This Signature Series coin is hand-signed by Kenneth Bressett, he was appointed editor of the Official Red Book in 1962 and has since become one of the most famous numismatic researchers and writers of all time, having published numerous books and articles in his more than 60 years of involvement in the hobby. He currently serves as the Official Red Book’s editor emeritus.
