These are the first coins released with the new Type 2 design that is a major departure from how eagles have been depicted on coins since 1792. There are nine major design changes on these Type 2 coins including a completely new reverse. These first year of issue sets have the collector preferred First Day of Release designation and each coin is signed by Edmund C. Moy, 38th Director of the United States Mint.

This complete four-piece set is certified in flawless MS70 condition by NGC and has the highly collectible First Day of Release designation. Each coin is hand signed by Edmund C.
