2021 (P) SILVER EAGLE T1 EMERGENCY ISSUE PCGS MS70 CASEY

About this coin

Collector demand for the current 2021 Silver Eagle coins is unprecedented for the final coins bearing the beloved Heraldic Eagle design. The global pandemic has brought us one of the rarest Silver Eagles of all time!

Because of Covid-19, the U.S. Mint at West Point has closed periodically, halting production and causing the U.S. Mint to produce Emergency coins at the Philadelphia and San Francisco Mint. With a mintage of just 495,000 coins, the coins produced at Philadelphia are more than twice as rare as the 1,000,000 coins produced at the San Francisco Mint, and have the third-lowest mintage in the thirty-six-year history of the series!

We showcase the rare Philadelphia Emergency Production coins in perfect MS70 condition certified by PCGS. Their collectible accolades include being only the second and final Emergency Production coins struck at the Philadelphia Mint, the third-lowest mintage in the series, key date with 2021 as the final year of issue for the Type 1 coins and 2021 is the only year that two different designs will be released.

Condition

Coins are graded on a 70-point scale with 70 being absolute perfection. This coin has been signed by George William Casey Jr. is a four-star general who served as the 36th Chief of Staff of the United States Army from 2007 to 2011.
