2021 Peace Dollar PCGS MS70 FDI Damstra Signature – Lowest mintage in the series

This  2021 Peace Dollar was issued for the 100th anniversary of this iconic coin series that was first minted in 1921. The new coins are minted in 0.858 troy ounces of .999 pure silver, more weight and purity than the .7734 troy ounces and .900 purity of the original coins struck between 1921 – 1935. Because of modern minting technology, they are the first Peace Dollars to attain the perfect MS70 grade. The mintage of the 2021 Peace Dollar is capped at only 200,000 coins, versus the 1,006.473 coins released by the Philadelphia Mint in 1921.

Coins are graded on the Sheldon numeric grading scale of 1 to 70. To achieve the top grade 70, a coin must have no post-production imperfections at 5x magnification. Damstra, who is one of the leading numismatic artists of our day, sporting forty design credits with the  United States and Royal Canadian Mints.
