2021 Reverse PF70 NGC Designer Edition FDOI Type I & II Silver Eagles – Anna Escobedo Cabral Signatures

This set contains two stunning Reverse Proof coins from two different Mints, bearing the year’s two different reverse designs. Only 125,000 sets were authorized, making both coins absolute rarities. The year 2021 denotes the most significant change to the American Silver Eagle series in thirty-five years because John Mercanti’s iconic heraldic eagle design was replaced With a new coin dubbed the Type 2. The new Type 2 design has ten major design changes from the original coins issued from 1986 -2021, including a completely new reverse design by Emily S. Damstra. The Type 1 coin is produced at the WestPoint Mint and the Type 2 coin is produced at the San Francisco Mint. As the first-ever Reverse Proof Type 2 American Silver Eagle, this coin is an absolute key date and will be a valuable addition to any collection.

Condition

Coins are graded on the Sheldon numeric grading scale of 1 to 70. To achieve the top grade 70, a coin must have no post-production imperfections at 5x magnification. Both coins have been certified RP70 By NGC and have the coveted First Day of Issue designation. A Reverse Proof (RP) coin is a coin that features an inverted proof finish. Only the background is frosted, and all other design elements are polished to the same mirror-like finish. Anna Escobedo Cabral, 42nd Treasurer of the United States, has signed both coins. Her signature is predominantly recognizable because it appears on Federal Reserve Notes Series 2003A, 2004A, 2006, and 2006A. Only 125,000 sets were minted making them absolute rarities. The presentation of these sets is greatly enhanced by being presented in the NGC U.S. Treasurer’s Series black core holders.
