2021 Six-Piece Morgan & Peace Dollar Set NGC MS70 First Day of Issue – Miles Standish Signatures

This incredible six-piece coin set was issued for the 100th anniversary of both the iconic Morgan Silver Dollar and the Peace Silver Dollar, two classic and historic coins that were last minted in 1921. This complete type set features five Morgan Silver Dollars issued using original mint parameters from the Philadelphia, Denver, San Francisco, Carson City, and New Orleans mints. The sixth coin that completes the set is a Peace Dollar stuck as the original in stunning high relief! Each coin has a low mintage of only 175,000 coins for each Morgan Dollar and only 200,000 for the Peace Dollar, making each coin an absolute U.S. Mint rarity.

Condition

Coins are graded on the Sheldon numeric grading scale of 1 to 70. To achieve the top grade 70, a coin must have no post-production imperfections at 5x magnification. The coins in this magnificent collection are the first and only Morgan & Peace dollars to ever be certified in perfect MS70 condition. There are no Morgan & Peace Dollars issued between 1878-1921 that have ever attained the highest numismatic grade of MS70. Each of these NGC-certified coins has the coveted First Day of Issue coin designation on their holders and are individually hand-signed by Michel Miles Standish, author of the book Morgan Dollar: America's Love Affair With a Legendary Coin. Miles Standish is a prominent numismatist, author, and coin grader. He was the first full-time coin grader at PCGS and joined NGC as a vice president in 2015. having handled many of the greatest U.S. rarities, Standish’s many contributions to the hobby were recognized in 2011 by U.S. Mint Director Edmund Moy, who presented Standish with the coveted Director’s Coin for Excellence medal.
