2022 W First –Ever T2 Burnished Silver Eagle –Exclusively hand signed by Two U.S. Mint Directors

These 2022 coins struck at the West Point Mint are the first burnished Silver Eagles in the new Type 2 series certified as Advance Release coins. Only 12,000 coins were eligible for Advance Release certification, the lowest designated mintage of any Type 1 or Type 2 Silver Eagle. (2021 and 2022 Advance Release Proof coins had designated mintages of 30,000 coins). This coin is exclusively hand signed by two U.S. Mint Directors.

The Advanced Release designation signifies this coin is from a small group of coins, (12,000) the absolute first to be released from the United States Mint before the coins were offered to collectors and the general public.

This coin is certified in flawless MS70 condition by NGC and is individually hand-signed by Edmund C. Moy, the 38th Director, and David J Ryder, 39th Director of the U.S. Mint, two of the topmost respected names in all of numismatics. Moy and Ryder brought many exciting modern coins to the marketplace, greatly enhancing the tradition of U.S. coin collecting with their leadership of the world’s premier manufacturer of coins. Both men were named in Coin World’s Most Influential People (1960-2020). The Moy and Ryder signatures appear together exclusively on NGC-certified Mint Director’s Series coins.
