2021 Peace Dollar – Lowest mintage in the series

The new 2021 Peace Dollar was issued for the 100th anniversary of this iconic coin series that was first minted in 1921. The new coins are minted in 0.858 troy ounces of .999 pure silver, a greater weight and purity than the .7734 troy ounces and .900 purity of the original coins struck between 1921 – 1935. Because of modern minting technology, they are the first Peace Dollars to attain the perfect MS70 grade, a coin with no post-production imperfections at 5x magnification. Finally, the mintage of the new 2021 Peace Dollars is capped at only 200,000 coins, versus the 1,006.473 coins released by the Philadelphia Mint in 1921.
