Susanna Blunt is a Canadian artist specializing in portraiture. Her effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, portrayed for the first time without a crown has appeared on all legal tender Canadian coinage since 2003. She was born in Harbin, China, the daughter of an English banker. In 2004 Susanna won a national competition for the mint and her coin design for a silver dollar became the first coin in Canadian history to have both sides designed by the same artist. Susanna has an exclusive agreement with the leading coin grading service PCGS to sign certified collector coins.
