A panel of international judges chooses the coins from those issued two years prior to the year of the award.
Two coins designed by Emily S. Damstra have won COTY Awards. The 2017 Boys Town Centennial Commemorative won the most inspiration coin and her 2014 Maple Leaf tree canopy won the best crown.
