The Coin of the Year Award (COTY) is an awards program founded in 1984 by the American publisher Krause Publications. Awards are given for numismatic design, artistic vision, and craftsmanship. A panel of international judges chooses the coins from those issued two years prior to the year of the award.

Two coins designed by Emily S. Damstra have won COTY Awards. The 2017 Boys Town Centennial Commemorative won the most inspiration coin and her 2014 Maple Leaf tree canopy won the best crown.
